1965 Ford Mustang by Barret Lawton
Since 1965, the Ford Mustang has been part of the American landscape and none are more classic then the original 1965 model.
Arguably, 1971 onwards, the Ford Mustang got a little ‘bulbous’ and was trying to hit the luxury market, rather than performance, which means the ’65 model is still the de-facto standard shape when people think of the vintage Mustang (well, maybe up to 1969!).
This example by Barret Lawton shows you how 50 years on, the original is still running as strong as ever.
‘1965 Ford Mustang coupe with a 302 that’s set up like a 347 stroker, c4 4 speed transmission, b&m shifter.’
‘It’s got 450 hp, I’ve taken down a few 15 “mustang” gts and camaro SS.’
