1,000 HP Dodge Charger Hellcat Kills The Quarter-Mile
By Devin Murray
Most people were blown away by the initial 707hp delivered by the Dodge Charger hellcat when it was first released. Enough power for most occasions.
Now, aftermarket tuners are cranking up that horsepower rating to 1,000hp+ and this time you are shown first hand what the amount of power can do on the dragstrip.
There is nothing outside the vehicle that gives away it’s huge amount of horses, apart from a few 1,000hp decal dotted around the vehicle, but I bet it’s a surprise to most that this four-door can produce so much power, especially looking in stock condition.
The first few passes down the strip produce low 10 second times, with a best time of 9.19 seconds at 139.96mph.
With some extra tweaks, i’m sure this huge beast can get into the 8 second territory unsurprisingly heads, especially if it rolls into the parking lot as just a standard, stock vehicle.
The dragstrip blast you see here was performed at Cecil County Dragway.
