The 2018 Dodge Demon most definitely gave modern muscle cars a shot in the arm. Limited to 3300 units, the 6.2L supercharged V8 can happily throw out 840HP with 770 lb-ft. of torque, with a 0-60 mph time of 2.1 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 9.54 seconds at 140 mph. Perfect as a factory built drag racer that can also pop a wheelie on liftoff.
Although very limited edition and everyone was scrambling to get hold of one when first released, examples are now popping up for sale. With an initial sale price of $84,995, current prices are hovering around the $119k+ mark depending on mileage and a few extra options. Quite a nice bit of profit.
So, if you want one you’ll have to pay the going rate. But the Demon is still a good investment long-term as the car has had enough publicity to be stamped into the muscle car history books and will always be a sought-after vehicle.
If you take a quick look on eBay, the cheapest one is this example at $119k with 600 miles on the clock, with the most expensive being one at $150k having only done 14 miles. Lots of price difference.
This example is number 0269. We chose this one not just because it has low mileage and the cheapest example, but it also comes in Redline Red Tricoat Pearl. A bit more fitting for the Demon name. There are plenty of example images with the listing and all the individual options are listed like on the Dodge website, almost like every component in the car. The odd omission is no sign of the Demon crate. Could this be why it’s a bit cheaper than the rest or has it been accident were left off the description?
At the least it has a starting bid of $95,996.00, so there may be some leeway in the pricing, but as always an in person inspection is the ideal before buying.
