Is It Worth Restoring Some Muscle Cars?

It’s a question I get asked quite often. Should I restore this car? Well, this is an example of that exact issue.
At first glance one might say there is certainly too much to do. Too much money and too much time needed. It’s hard to argue that point. However, on the flip side if you have the time, the money, and the desire you will at the finish line have a car like none other.
You chuckle at my statement thinking I lost my mind. This type of car completely restored is a moving piece of art. Clearly you cannot rebuild and restore this and think you are going to make money. Nope. This is a project of love. And that is what I see at car shows and events. Love.
Sometimes love is blind or hard to find but when the moment hits you and your actions make no sense. Except to you. Many of you are driving around in cars others feel that you wasted your money or effort on. Did that stop you? No. In most cases the naysayers actually pushed you on. That’s right. What’s so cool about a ’74 Vega or a 66 Corvair? Well, while some may disagree with your love you knew what you wanted and what would make you happy. Charge on I say.
Not everyone wants the standards. I mean how many of you can stare at a 69 Camaro, Chevelle, Mustang or Charger before you become bleary eyed? We need the change and we need the AMC Javelin and we need the Ponitacs. As a hobby we would be forever lost. Certainly our world has many talented artisans that use the energy they have been blessed with to bring you and I something different. Some of us flip through web page quickly because our eyes have seen so many of the same before. Challenge yourself to get way beyond the box you built around yourself. It’s not about The money at times. It’s about the love of the car.
