Street Outlaws Boosted GT Testing

Testing, testing, testing is the name of the game when you have such a high-powered and temperamental vehicle such as the Mustang driven by Boosted GT aka Chris Hamilton. The car started its journey late last year being turned into a true back half car, twin turbo boosted with 1400 horse power.

The 2005 Mustang GT, which you can see on Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaw TV show, has a chassis by Michigan-based Team Z Motorsports. The engine is a twin turbo 417ci short block fitted with Precision turbochargers (They are not revealing the size) and Brodix Neal cylinder heads. Tires can be swapped out via two sets of RC Components. The idea behind the setup is to compete across-the-board in small tire, big tire, no prep, street and grudge races.

Over the coming season will be interesting to see what this varied setup will accomplish in reality.
