Only 2 Cougars were built with the Boss 429. Both were built for drag racers in 1969 (and later updated with ’70 panels for next years racing). One went to Dyno Don Nicholson, the other the Fast Eddie Schartman.
Niether one of them was built with the Eliminator option. No Boss 429 Eliminators were built, despite dealer documents stating it was an available option.
