Readers Rides: 2001 Camaro SS SLP By Pablo Ramos

The car was purchased about a year ago in Merida, I found it online and it seemed as if the car had been abandoned, the guy that was selling it swore that t was a true SS, but it didn’t have the SS logo on the back and left fender, so I decided to call SVE(special vehicle engineering) and sure enough it was a true SS SLP, booked the flight and went to grab that beauty. I have been restoring it since, it’s a 2001 camaro SS SLP #5289 it’s a 6 speed. With 44k miles.

Engine is a 5.7 LS1, I have added SLP box and lid, K&N air filter, Long tube headers, SLP exhaust, and of course the SLP CME (center mount exhaust), it also has the Hurst shift, it comes with the ZR1 wheels wrapped in 275/45/R17 tires, it has a mild set up Comp Cam installed, whistler mod headlights, brand new Export tail lights that took me nearly 2 years to find them in Japan.
It’s pretty much the only 2001 Camaro SS SLP in México that is 6 speed.
