Power Wheels Mustangs, Camaros and Corvettes

I have to admit I am jealous of the kids of today when they have access to toys such as the Power Wheels Mustangs, Camaros and Corvettes. The Power wheels brand goes back to 1984 with battery-powered toy cars for children, but today’s models are far more advanced which even adults will be jealous of and be secretly left wanting.

The latest models from Fisher-Price Power Wheels in the muscle car market come in the form of a Ford Mustang, hopefully its a GT500 and has real car sounds, MP3 input to supply your own music and a touchscreen display for tracking speed, stability, traction control and battery consumption. The cars include a Smart Drive™ system which provide safety features for better performance on rough terrain and makes sure all four wheels stay on the ground with its heaviest load of 130 pounds (I need to now loose some weight…)

Blasting along at 5 mph and 2.5 mph in reverse, Hp and torque figures have yet to be released, but they are obviously going to be mind blowing.

If nothing else, it gives children the feel and excitement of driving a muscle car and even gives an experience of building the vehicle and some maintenance until they start working on the real thing. owning a vehicle like this at an early age will also spark the interest in many for the automobile market. You never know, you may hear stories in 20 years of a new muscle car designer first being inspired by owning one of these tiny muscle cars.
I just now wish Fisher-Price would build a slightly bigger one for a lump like me, as I’m sure with a bigger battery it could easily get me to work and back and with them all coming as convertibles, it would make summer driving a new pleasure!
