Pontiac GTO vs Huge Turbo RX7

There are many drag race videos featuring one car against another, but this one is special as it compares on the surface classic American muscle with smaller Japanese engineering.

(Spoiler – The Pontiac GTO does a 7.53.6 seconds and the RX7 does a 7.59.9 seconds. GTO wins! RX7….sloooooow!)

If I have my muscle car fan head on, I’m thinking, ‘ha, another example of an older, heavier classic American car blowing away the best the Japanese can offer.’
But if I have my diplomatic head-on, these are drag race cars and not stock, so there are so many other factors involved in this scenario that you almost can’t compare the two.
But, this is muscle car fan territory, so even if the RX7 got the fastest time, the GTO is still the better car, because it simply is, you just have to look at the two.
I know which I would have, dragstrip or not and it ends with GTO!
