It’s no big surprise that the muscle car has turned into an investment piece at the top end of the scale. Some examples which were previously ignored, are now being sought after as potential investments, which leads us on to this great little video by Jay Leno and car valuation expert Donald Osborne.

Here we have the comparison of three completely different cars. A 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk with a 275HP sweepstakes 289 engine, a 1965 AMC Rambler Marlin, produced for a few short years with a 250HP power plant and a 1969 Mercury Cyclone CJ 428 with 335 horses.

Completely different cars and as you will see from the video, their current prices, appreciation and depreciation are completely different.
Like any evaluation, it’s only correct at time of going to press. How much these cars will be worth in 12 months can only be an estimate, but it does give you a good starting point if you are looking at these cars as investment pieces.
As any muscle car fan knows, they should be seen as what they are and that’s potential drivers.
