Chevrolet may be mainly concentrating on their performance vehicles, but there is nothing like going a bit left-field as in the case of this full-size LEGO Batmobile, which debuted recently at the 2017 Detroit motor show.

A huge amount of effort has gone into this build, with the official Chevrolet website all-new-lego-batmobile.html stating that it has everything to take down super villains, Gotham style, has enough torque to pull 120,000 pounds and will cost $48,000,000. It even has 4G WiFi connectivity and Apple CarPlay. Coming with a 60.2-litre V100 engine so the website states, should be just enough power to capture any bad guy in the area. The vehicle has three driver modes – racing, monster truck, and parallel parking mode and took 222 hours to design and 1833 hours to fully build.

With over 800kg of LEGO in the Batmobile, an aluminum tubing frame was built for all the Lego to wrap around with a total of 344,187 LEGO pieces being used.

The car was built to coincide with the latest LEGO Batman Movie. It’s a shame it’s not driveable, but you can get your hands on a smaller version very soon.
