Sorry, but the headline should have read, ‘Jeremy Clarkson has been asked to leave Top Gear.’
It’s not really such a blow as the US have their own dedicated and loved Top Gear presenters, but it seems the UK hold Jeremy dear to their hearts or at least the viewing public do.

There is no denying Mr Clarkson has been critical in the success of this show and its tone, but an organization do not shoot one of their golden geese at a whim.

You do not have to feel sorry for Jeremy, he will have an endless list of offers and contacts, so it is more than likely you will see him very soon in some motoring context……….maybe.
