The Pontiac GTO was originally an option package for the Pontiac Tempest in 1964, which gave you a 389 CID V8 engine with 325 HP with the option of a single four barrel carburettor or Tri-Power with 3 Rochester 2BBL carburetors. Arguably, the first of its breed.

By 1968, the second generation had morphed into a classic muscle car with a 400ci. V8 engine, with a 1970 version featured here by Jay Leno. This 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge belongs to Wade Kawasaki of Coker Tire which features Coker Tire’s new radial editions of the ubiquitous Firestone Wide Oval tires. Originally only found in bias-ply, the latest tires will give a classic look better feel.

The two take the muscle machine out for a ride and truly appreciate why these cars are still ranked so highly.
