Exclusive First Look At The Dodge Demon, The Fastest Dodge Yet?

Dodge have been teasing us a recently with video snippets of the Dodge Demon, giving various glimpses of the upcoming Demon and now their latest video has been released with the first clear image from the rear of the vehicle.

The latest video was posted on Facebook and YouTube again not revealing that much, but putting all the pieces together so far, we are starting to see what could be the most powerful muscle car released by Dodge as yet. Glimpses of the car in the wild have surfaced like in one of our previous posts but the image featured here shows a dragstrip monster with huge drag tires and impressive looking side fenders, which kind of imply the Demon to be the most powerful Dodge machine as yet.

There’s been comments and debate over the meaning of the license plate where some have said that the numbers refer to torque values where the 2576 lb-ft of torque is compared to the 4000 of the Hellcat which could possibly indicate a four-wheel-drive version?? Others say it could be a 2.6L supercharger at 35psi (20ish psi of boost). Other state that it simply could mean 257.6 lb lighter a car and 3.5 inch wider.
If a supercharger route is correct, then it means that a 2.6 liter supercharger bolted to a 6.2 L hellcats V8 engine could produce 957hp in stock form. If the eventual horsepower figures reach this mark, it will definitely give the competition something to think about in the horsepower wars.

The Dodge Demon plans to be unveiled at the New York International Auto Show this coming April, so we don’t have that long to wait before this beast is released into the wild.
