Easy Money for A 1957 GM

I mentioned recently that this ’57 has to be the most recognizable car ever made. The only other cars I can think of may be the Corvette or the Mustang. But remember, this was a one year style and even back in ’57 GM knew it was a hit. So, what did they do? Changed it of course.
But let’s focus on the ’57 as they are as popular as ever. Whether it is a car that has been restored or a lucky guy that finds in a barn, few people would turn away. It has iconic styling and I will lay odds it will remain a favorite. The car had plenty of room for four adults easily and still managed to be a stylish car. You could buy this car as a four door, but nearly everyone agrees the two door is the ticket.
These cars are getting hard to find untouched after all these years. When one is found big money is paid. When you see one for sale today anywhere, big money is paid.
I saw one on Craigslist earlier this year in poor condition and the guy wanted 15k. A week later I contacted him and he said it was sold and would not reveal the price. I will bet it was not much less than the asking price. When you know you do not need to budge much, you don’t. So, maybe the tip of the day is to buy one if you can and treat it like a princess. They are not making them anymore so the supply is limited. We all know what happens to prices of anything when supply is limited and demand is high.
