The Dodge Demon seems to be getting all the attention on the Challenger side of things lately, but now Hellcat owners have a chance to gain the wide-body setup from the Demon very soon.

Only 3,300 Dodge Challenger Demons will be built, so it makes sense for the company to offer a wide-body kit on regular SRT Hellcats.

The new Hellcat named the ‘Hellcat Widebody’ will have flared arches and will give the Hellcat 3.5 inches more traction which should help in grip and cornering. Although the power rating of 707bhp 6.2-litre Hemi V8 engine will stay the same, Dodge say that the Pirelli P-Zero tires will make the car a tenth of a second faster from 0-62mph. That’s just 3.7 seconds and a quarter mile time in 10.9 seconds, 3/10 of a second quicker than a normal Hellcat.

A few other changes include electric power steering, the front splitter from the Dodge Demon, bigger power bulge and new grille badge. These upgrades show that Dodge Demon features may over time start trickling down to the rest of the line-up and with a starting price of $71,495 for the new wide-body Hellcat is sure to make an impact.
