Find Of The Day: 1972 Ford Mustang
By David Ashton
Here we have a fine example of a 1972 Ford Mustang, with minimal work needed.
It has a 302 V8 2 barrel carburettor engine, which is said to have had a fresh tuneup and all the fluids replaced recently.
The present owner says that they drive it regularly, which give some indication of the state of the engine. The transmission is said to be the correct Ford ’72 automatic version, not stated if this is numbers matching, but there may be a chance here as the rest seems all original.
The interior looks very impressive with the seats, dash and carpets looking like they have had a recent overhaul. Even the close-up images show that the driver seat is still in great condition.
The bodywork is stated to have a few rust bubbles here and there, especially on the hood with some peeling and bubbles. There’s no close-up shots of these areas, but the rest of the vehicle’s exterior looks in great shape.
There are no underbody shots with the ad., But guessing from the condition the rest of the car. There will be any nasty surprises of rust. This obviously will need to be clarified in person.
This Mustang is not the fastest or the most desirable model, but its advantage is that you can buy it and drive away with a fine classic muscle car on your hands without breaking the bank.
