The Pontiac Firebird has always been a cool vehicle, but by the early 1990’s it started to show its age and needed a shakeup. SLP (Street Legal Performance) were brought in to produce the limited edition ‘Firehawk’ intended to just 250 examples. A 350ci/5.7L V8 with 350Hp, six speed manual transmission to a Dana rear end which could produce a 0 to 60 time of 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph.
This one is #6 out of 25 built between 1991-1992. Amazingly the car still has its original tires. The car seems to be in immaculate condition, but the listing says that the two downsides is a sagging headliner and some spider cracks on the front bumper, when another car rolled into it. Everything else is in great condition.
At $89,995.00 it may seem expensive for a Firebird, but as only 25 were produced this is a clear collector’s item. There are better, more driveable cars out there but this vehicle is for the serious collector and probably a good auction house is the best scenario for this car.
