A 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Hemi Orange Needing Love

Sure enough what we have here is a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. In Hemi Orange and more than likely built with a 440 V8.

Yes, they just about all came with a black vinyl top and some with a white vinyl for example. But, seeing this baby rotting in a field hurts me to the core. I came within a phone call about a year ago of buying one on the left coast. But after seeing pictures of my ’69 I had to buy a ’69.

Do I have regrets? Yes, I admit I would rather have the ’70 today and in the orange color. That color just like plum crazy purple just stick out so well. But, we cannot change history so I will be happy and grateful for what I have. And, you never know what the future brings. When at car shows I get approached at times to sell or trade my car but I have always declined. I guess I should keep an open mind but folks I worked hard to get my ’69. It was a life long dream since high school and that was many Suns ago.

So, I want to enjoy it. Especially the next two months before it goes into hiding for the winter. Oh, how I dread the cars and trucks just sitting all winter long. This year may be a bit different but more about that in a future article. Let me just say my wheels in my brain are always spinning. I have something in the making right now that could change the entire collection. In the meantime, someone find this ’70 Road Runner a new home and save it.
