It’s about time we put the spotlight on a muscle car for sale. Most of our website visitors go to our muscle cars for sale page http://fastmusclecar.com/muscle-car-for-sale/ but there’s no harm in shining a light on some prized specimens from time to time. This time its the turn of an immaculate and pristine 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible.

The 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 was built from 1967 to 1969 and came with a full racing package. The car was intended as a racer and clocked up victories at the 1967 12 Hours of Sebring. Only 216 were made on the C3 platform. Built as a racing machine at the Tonawanda, New York plant, the big block V-8 featured an 850 CFM dual feed Holley carburetor, solid-lifters, Can-Am-spec cylinder heads, 2.19-inch intake, 12.5:1 pistons, cold air induction and 1.84-inch exhaust valves. The engine also produce more like 500hp in reality.

This Vette is apparently, ‘one of the lowest-mile, all original (engine, transmission, interior, paint, etc.) 1969 L88 Corvettes in the world.’ When they say low mileage the car has only done 6,456 miles. There’s also plenty of factory installed options with this car –

972 Can-Am White,
402 black vinyl interior,
LBB special 427ci. 430 HP engine,
M22 special four-speed transmission
J56 special heavy duty brakes
F41 special front and rear suspension
K66 Transistor ignition system
C05 Convertible top, white
C07 Auxiliary hardtop
C08 vinyl roof color black
G81 Positive traction axle 370 ratio
J50 power brakes
A01 soft Ray tinted glass
TJ2 Front fender louver trim
UL5 radio delete

The car also comes with the original build sheet, tank sticker, window sticker, owner’s manual, warranty book, original owner’s mileage statement and original bill of sale. That’s not all, this Vette has also won a bunch of awards which include a Bloomington Gold Hall of Fame, Bloomington Gold Special Collection, Bloomington Gold Certified, and a Chip’s Choice nod of appreciation.

As you’d expect by now, this 1969 Corvette is in immaculate condition, even down to the original vinyl soft top. With this condition, options and the multiple awards, the asking price is a cool $1,300,000.00. For this type of money you can be as picky as you like with the details on this vehicle.

The only real complaint will be a very small amounts of wear on some of the instrument panels. This is probably due to people over the years gently caressing these parts, which may seem insignificant, but just like a rock which has been worn down over time by just being brushed against by passing animals, car interiors can start to look worn with just simple interaction.

Clearly, this car is investment-grade material and although the 20 examples of the 1967 L88 Corvettes are the rarest, this example is still ridiculously sought after. It’s still the rarest version of the L88s with only 216 models ever made and has the biggest reputation amongst collectors. This Vette may seem expensive now, but give it a few years and the asking price now will seem like a bargain.
