1968 Chevrolet Camaro Auction

This dusty, but seemingly well kept 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is up for auction at Mecum, Chicago on October 25th and although it doesn’t have any rare options, it is listed as being restored five years ago and rust free.

There’s not much to go on from the listing as it just gives bullet pointed highlights of the car, like engine size. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt five years ago, so has the car been sat for that amount of time or given a regular run to keep the engine in shape? The stored in a garage image almost implies a car that’s been sat for some time, being a Mecum auction you should expect a working engine.

The exterior looks in good condition, listed as rust free. The engine bay looks clean and tidy as is the hounds tooth interior. The car being listed as fully restored. There are a few small items here and there not in place like the clutch pedal pad and some wires hanging down in the interior, but they should be small jobs. There’s also no mention of the engine mileage.

From the small amount of information and the images, the car could go for around the low $30k mark if they buff up the exterior enough on the day. It’s a nice looking Camaro and if that powertrain is in good working order and you get it for the right price, this could be a sweet ride.
