This 1962 Buick special restomod named ‘BU’WICKED’ got its overhaul in 2002 when Ted and Sue Richardson gave it a makeover courtesy of Hot Rod Fabrication, Washington, who transformed the beast into the sight you see today. the build progressed in September 2002 and was completed by June 2003. The whole upgrade gave tasteful features which integrate both the old and the modern.

An Art Morrison chassis with custom coilover suspension was included with the Pro-Charged, fuel-injected 455/555hp big block V8 linked to a Richmond six speed manual transmission and Baer Pro 13.5″ Alcon 4-piston calipers. The interior features a full roll cage with Fiero bucket seats, custom-made door panels and handstitched green leather to match the black and green exterior.

The car has been featured in Custom Rodder, the 2003 Stree Machine of the Year and got a billing in the 2004Gran Turismo 4.
Customs like this don’t come cheap but with an asking price of $150,000, but for this level of detail and customisation it’s definitely worth the asking price. Currently available at Barrett Jackson .
